How this desk checks facts
A race is marked called only when the AP or at least two network decision desks have called it, and the callers are listed. A projection from a single desk shows as Projected with that desk's name, and counts only in the "with 1-desk projections" line, never in the seat bars. When desks say a race is too early to call but name a leader, that lean is shown with its source. Vote shares come from one results source and are cross-checked against a second; a gap over one point is flagged as a conflict.
Irregularities follow the same labels, plus Officials confirm when an election office or court has acknowledged the problem. Claims of fraud or misconduct are listed only when credible outlets report them, attributed to whoever made them, never stated as fact, and shown with the officials' response. Reports that can't be traced to a credible outlet are listed as not confirmed instead.
An update run checks live blogs, wire stories and results pages about every 15 minutes, then writes here. This page refreshes the moment new data lands; the status pill turns amber if a run is late and grey if runs have stopped.
